1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of The Snow Dream website and the purchase of any tour packages or services offered by The Snow Dream. By browsing this website or making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full. If you are booking on behalf of a group, you accept these terms on behalf of all members of your party and are responsible for ensuring each member is aware of them.
2. Bookings and Deposits
All tour bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment as specified at the time of booking. A deposit secures your place on the chosen tour date and acknowledges your acceptance of these terms. The remaining balance is due no later than one calendar month prior to the tour departure date. Failure to complete payment by this deadline may result in your booking being cancelled and your deposit being forfeited. The Snow Dream reserves the right to cancel any tour that does not reach the minimum booking threshold of four guests. In this event, a full refund of all payments made will be issued.
3. Pricing
All prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Tour prices include the services listed under the relevant tour package — lift passes, guiding, in-country transfers, and a data SIM for the duration of the tour. Hotel accommodation costs may be quoted separately and are subject to change based on hotel availability and seasonal pricing. The Snow Dream will confirm your accommodation cost prior to finalising your booking. Prices are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed and a deposit received.
4. Accommodation
The Snow Dream acts as a referral and introduction service for accommodation partners. We research and recommend hotels on your behalf, and where possible negotiate preferred rates. All accommodation payments are made directly by the guest to the hotel through the hotel's own payment channel. The Snow Dream does not process, hold, or accept accommodation payments on your behalf. Any disputes regarding accommodation charges, quality, or cancellations must be resolved directly with the hotel.
5. Cancellation by the Guest
Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to The Snow Dream. The following cancellation policy applies:
More than 60 days before departure — deposit forfeited, remaining balance refunded in full
30 to 59 days before departure — 50% of total tour cost forfeited
Fewer than 30 days before departure — 100% of total tour cost forfeited
The Snow Dream strongly recommends that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation cover at the time of booking.
6. Cancellation by The Snow Dream
The Snow Dream reserves the right to cancel any tour in the event of circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, government travel advisories, resort closures, or failure to meet the minimum guest threshold. In such cases, guests will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative tour date. The Snow Dream is not liable for any additional costs incurred by guests as a result of a cancellation, including flights, visas, or travel insurance premiums.
7. Minimum Group Size
Each tour requires a minimum of four confirmed guests to proceed as scheduled. If fewer than four guests are confirmed by 60 days prior to departure, The Snow Dream may cancel the tour or offer an adjusted pricing arrangement to guests who have already booked. Guests will be notified as early as possible and offered either a full refund or alternative dates.
8. Guest Responsibilities
All guests are responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport and any required visas for travel to Japan for the duration of their stay. Guests are responsible for arranging their own international flights and travel insurance. The Snow Dream accepts no liability for any costs arising from missed flights, visa refusals, or inadequate insurance cover. Guests are expected to participate in tours at a level consistent with the ability and experience level declared at the time of booking. Any misrepresentation of ability that affects the safety of the group may result in a guest being removed from mountain activities at the guide's discretion, without refund.
9. Safety and Risk
Skiing, snowboarding, and all snow-based activities involve inherent risk of injury or death. By participating in a Snow Dream tour, guests acknowledge and accept these risks. All guidance and instruction is provided by qualified snowsports professionals, and The Snow Dream takes all reasonable precautions to ensure guest safety. Guests must follow the instructions of their guide at all times on the mountain. The Snow Dream reserves the right to remove any guest from a mountain activity who is behaving in a manner that poses a risk to themselves or others.
10. Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover, evacuation cover, trip cancellation, and winter sports activity cover is strongly recommended and considered the responsibility of each individual guest. The Snow Dream does not provide or arrange travel insurance on behalf of guests.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Snow Dream's liability in connection with any tour or service is limited to the total amount paid by the guest for that tour. The Snow Dream is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including but not limited to lost enjoyment, missed connections, or losses arising from events outside our reasonable control.
12. Photography and Media
The Snow Dream may photograph or film activities during tours for use in marketing materials, the website, and social media. If you do not wish to be featured in any media, please notify us in writing prior to your tour departure and we will respect your preference.
13. Changes to These Terms
The Snow Dream reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The version published on this website at the time of your booking will apply to your tour. We recommend reviewing these terms before each booking.
14. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these terms or from the provision of services by The Snow Dream shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Japanese courts.
